My grandmother (81) has been showing increasing signs of dementia type symptoms. Things like memory loss, disorientation, etc. She still lives alone and leads a fairly active life (stopped working less than a year ago) but there is no doubt . She hasn't actually been diagnosed with alzheimers. She recently had a parathyroid operation which Doctors hoped would help with dementia but it doesn't seemed to of helped.
