They don't seem to hold much interest past the first year. If that long. Even the admins aren't really posting after the "new toy" effect is over. It's kinda fun watching it all from here because I get read to the same questions asked in a wider array of color schemes, logos and usernames. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad thing having lots of boards but it does take away good people sometimes. I have seen some very knowledgeable people leave to start a board, have it tank in 6-8 months, and then never come back. That part sucks.
I liken all the new boards popping up to night clubs. The new ones have the longest lines and the most action and it's fun to go to new places. But I always end up at home.
