That's pretty paranoid. Do you honestly believe that "the government's" penchant for storming into the homes of citizens and killing them outweighs the advantages of living in a civilized society, which is only possible at this stage of the development of our species under the aegis of a liberal democracy? What is this "government" that so terrorizes the citizenry? Where did it come from? From what is its power derived? Who controls it? Do you want to think about those things and play your rightful part in managing civil affairs, or would you rather pretend that "the government" is some alien force, some them vs. us thing, like the whackos out in Idaho somewhere.
It continues to amaze me that otherwise well-educated citizens ignore the very first words put on parchment to establish this grand experiment we call the United States. They were:
