I am NOT retiring. I'll be lifting even if they have to roll me up in a wheelchair.

I'd hate to see you retire at the top of your game. Even if your bench isn't where you'd like it to be.
When is your meet? Try what has been mentioned above..stretching. Seek some massage therapy as well. This does wonders. You're not that old to retire just yet...besides...PLing is an addiction...hard to stop cold turkey!
Take care of yourself and reconsider your decision. Would enjoy seeing you continue to compete and achieve new goals.
Just remembered..Nov 1st You have time RB.

I don't know where everyone is getting that I'm retired. I don't think I said that. LOL. I've been doing this since 1987 and have no plans of stopping soon.
I rub blue horse linament into them before lifting, do some light hammer curls and make sure I'm good and warmed up. I ice after lifting and do my own massage on the forearms.
My grip work is just through what I do in the gym. I don't use straps often at all.
I compete on Nov. 1.

No more cookies BSG. I can't hold this weight for much longer and may have to drop before the meet. I'm miserable and have to tape my eyes open to see. The bloat is absolutely insane.
I went through this with Seniors. I know what does it but unfortunately bad luck with shirts put me back here again. This will be the last time I have trouble with shirts. I know what to do to fix and now will do that. SS, RB
