I would never recommend Ambien. I got a prescription because I wasn't sleeping after my latest shoulder surgery. I think the combination of that and Valium was what made me sleep. Alone, I don't necessarily sleep and almost always hallucinate. I usually take Benadryl to force myself to sleep, but hate the hang over afterwards.
